Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. We are looking to hire a successful OE Process Engineer in Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) who will work with multiple stakeholder teams in India to find areas of opportunity to reduce defects or costs within current processes, find solutions, and implement the improvement. Working closely with Engineering, Logistics, and Operations teams, this individual ensures that innovation projects are deliver, operational standards are applied, performance is constantly benchmarked against challenging targets, best practices are replicated across globe and the overall the performance bar is constantly raised.

Key job responsibilities
1. Manage the process innovation and automation projects and chair the review meetings for these projects
2. Work with multiple organizations and stakeholders to improve workflows
3. Innovate to improve customer experience and continuously improve organizational efficiency
4. Scope, define requirements, design, and develop the application to deliver an exceptional customer experience
5. Communicate regularly to stakeholders on status, risks, and changes

Process Innovation & Project Management

1. Lead and manage process innovation and automation initiatives.
2. Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables. 3. Ensure timely implementation of improvement solutions

Process Optimization & Analysis

1. Identify areas for defect reduction and cost optimization.
2. Analyze existing workflows and processes for improvement opportunities.
3. Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste.

Technical Solution Development

1. Design and develop automation solutions and applications
2. Write and maintain code using languages like Java, Python, JavaScript
3. Implement web services and distributed systems
4. Optimize database queries and performance

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

1. Partner with Engineering, Logistics, and Operations teams.
2. Maintain regular communication with stakeholders on project status.
3. Document and share best practices across global teams.

Continuous Improvement

1. Drive operational excellence initiatives.
2. Recommend and implement process improvements
3. Monitor and measure impact of implemented solutions
4. Standardize successful practices for global adoption.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field with 5+yrs of experience in software/process engineering
• Full-stack development experience using modern programming languages (such as Java, Python, JavaScript) and related frameworks, along with proficiency in SQL
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (like Git), and modern development practices.• Proven track record of driving innovative solutions and process improvements, demonstrated through successful implementation of automation projects or technical solutions
• Experience with modern development practices including microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) with demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements
• Strong portfolio of end-to-end project delivery, showing both technical expertise and business process optimization
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders across multiple organizational levels, with proven ability to influence and drive change.
