Overview

Carvana is seeking an Operations Manager for the Northeast Region to oversee production metrics and manage facilities. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to solve operational challenges effectively.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in operations management, particularly in high-volume environments. Your experience includes leading teams of over 50 associates, where you've successfully developed employees and fostered a culture of continuous improvement. You are adaptable and open to relocation within the Northeast region, demonstrating your commitment to the role and the company. Your analytical skills enable you to quickly identify bottlenecks affecting site throughput and efficiency, and you are adept at conducting root cause analyses to develop actionable plans. You embody effective leadership, teamwork, and communication, ensuring that Carvana's values are upheld on the shop floor.

What you'll do

In this role, you will fully manage facilities to meet or exceed production, cost, and quality targets in the absence of the General Manager. You will conduct weekly performance reviews with senior leadership, reporting on performance versus targets, challenges, and countermeasures. Guiding daily site manager huddles, you will establish the day’s tone and priorities, ensuring that all team members are aligned and focused on achieving operational goals. You will also aid in the execution of Continuous Improvement projects, implementing and training process changes that enhance efficiency across the region. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering growth and development within the management team, supporting their development plans, and providing regular competency-based feedback. You will uphold Carvana's operating standards and processes, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.

What we offer

Carvana offers a dynamic work environment where you can make a significant impact on operations. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the strategic direction of the Northeast region. The company values employee development and provides resources to support your growth as a leader. You will be part of a team that is committed to excellence and continuous improvement, with a focus on achieving high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced setting. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
