Overview

MongoDB is hiring a Senior Account Executive to drive growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You'll work with Salesforce and other prospecting tools to manage the sales cycle. This position requires 5+ years of field sales experience.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of quota-carrying field sales experience, particularly in technology sales, where you've successfully driven revenue growth and built strong relationships with clients. Your ability to engage with CTOs, Engineering, and IT leaders showcases your understanding of technical solutions and their business implications. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with sales teams to strategize and execute on territory plans that align with company goals. You are adept at using tools like Salesforce and Sales Navigator to build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring that you maximize every opportunity for growth. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to articulate the value of MongoDB's solutions effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience in the database or cloud technology sector is a plus, as it allows you to better understand the needs of your clients. Familiarity with tools such as ZoomInfo and Outreach will enhance your ability to prospect effectively and manage customer relationships. A proven track record of exceeding sales targets will set you apart as a candidate who can deliver results.

What you'll do

In your role as a Senior Account Executive at MongoDB, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within an existing customer base. You will cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring the successful adoption of MongoDB's solutions. Your day-to-day activities will include managing the full sales cycle for all MongoDB products and services, from prospecting to closing deals. You will develop and execute a strategic territory plan aimed at achieving revenue targets, collaborating with the sales ecosystem to drive initiatives and partnerships that enhance sales performance. Building a sales pipeline in Salesforce and utilizing prospecting tools like Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Sendoso, and Outreach will be crucial to your success. You will also provide feedback to the sales leadership team on how to improve processes and strategies, contributing to the overall success of the sales team.
