Overview

Bugcrowd is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to lead the reliability strategy across engineering teams. You'll work with technologies like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to tackle complex infrastructure challenges. This role requires significant experience in site reliability engineering.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in site reliability engineering, with a strong background in building and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure. You understand the importance of reliability and have a proven track record of implementing best practices across engineering teams. Your technical expertise includes working with cloud platforms like AWS, containerization technologies such as Docker, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. You are proficient in scripting and automation, particularly with languages like Python, and have experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about mentoring others while driving technical excellence.

Desirable

Experience with monitoring and logging tools, as well as a solid understanding of networking concepts, will be beneficial. Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments is also a plus. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define and drive the technical vision for infrastructure at Bugcrowd, ensuring that our systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. You will collaborate with engineering teams to implement best practices for reliability and performance, tackling complex infrastructure challenges head-on. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing incident response processes, and optimizing system performance. You will also play a key role in capacity planning and cost optimization, ensuring that our infrastructure can support our growing user base effectively.

You will lead initiatives to improve system observability and monitoring, leveraging tools to provide insights into system health and performance. As a technical leader, you will mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure goals with business objectives, ensuring that our systems meet the needs of our customers.
