Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, specializing in data modeling and governance. Your expertise includes analyzing and redesigning conceptual, logical, and physical data models to enhance efficiency and integrity across data ecosystems. You are skilled in identifying redundancies and inconsistencies in large datasets, ensuring that data remains accurate and reliable. You understand the importance of establishing a single source of truth and have a strong grasp of data normalization and denormalization techniques to optimize performance without sacrificing data quality.

You are familiar with data governance best practices, including standardization and referential integrity, and have experience documenting data models, dictionaries, and usage policies. Your technical background includes working with both on-premise and cloud environments, and you are comfortable integrating with Master Data Management systems. You have a keen interest in AI and automation, and you are eager to apply your knowledge to enhance data pipelines and workflows.

Desirable

Experience with Databricks MLflow for model management is a plus, as is familiarity with data-oriented architectures and best practices in data governance. You have participated in MDM initiatives and have a solid understanding of Data Lake and Data Warehouse environments.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and efficiency of data models across the organization. You will analyze and redesign data models to simplify and enhance their effectiveness, working closely with various stakeholders to identify and eliminate redundancies in large datasets. Your work will involve applying normalization and denormalization techniques to optimize data structures and improve query performance.

You will define criteria for establishing a single source of truth, ensuring that all data is accurate and reliable. Additionally, you will document data models, create dictionaries, and develop diagrams to communicate data structures and policies effectively. You will also plan migration strategies for data systems and integrate with Master Data Management solutions to manage the data lifecycle.
