Google is seeking a Senior Site Manager for Data Center Operations to oversee the daily operations of their facilities. This role requires extensive experience in managing technical teams and a strong background in electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 12 years of experience managing technical teams responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure. You have developed and managed managers for at least 3 years, showcasing your leadership capabilities. Your preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, and you excel in collaborating with other business units to meet company goals and standards. Your people management and leadership skills are exceptional, allowing you to influence at all levels within the organization. You thrive in a collaborative, friendly, and fun work environment, embodying the Googley spirit.
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of Google’s data center facilities, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will develop strategies to minimize operational costs while improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact at the site. Your responsibilities will include driving site-level development of programs and initiatives that align with company policies and goals. You will incorporate your domain expertise to deliver improved data center designs that optimize equipment and operations for next-generation data centers. You will work closely with various teams to foster a culture of collaboration and excellence, ensuring that client satisfaction is a top priority.
