SpaceX is seeking a Supervisor of Materials Management to lead operations within the Materials Management organization. You'll be responsible for managing teams, improving processes, and ensuring high inventory accuracy. This role requires strong leadership and operational management skills.
You have experience in a supervisory role, ideally within materials management or supply chain operations. You understand the importance of excellent customer service and have a track record of improving operational efficiency. You are skilled in assessing employee performance and providing constructive feedback to foster a high-performing team environment. You prioritize safety and compliance, ensuring that all operations meet industry standards and regulations. You are a strong communicator, capable of motivating your team and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments is a plus. Familiarity with AS9100 standards and supply chain best practices will help you excel in this role. You are adaptable and open to feedback, continuously seeking ways to enhance your team's performance and operational processes.
In this role, you will manage an hourly workforce, overseeing day-to-day operations while driving strategic projects aimed at improving efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will monitor and enhance operational practices, ensuring a safe work environment with the goal of zero OSHA recordable incidents annually. You will lead by example, setting high standards for performance and accountability within your team. You will also be responsible for implementing corrective actions and performance improvement plans when necessary. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
