Overview

Samsara is seeking an Account Executive to drive sales of their Internet of Things solutions to small and medium-sized customers. You'll engage with multiple stakeholders and negotiate pricing to bring sensor data benefits to various industries. This role is open to candidates residing in the US.

You are an energetic sales professional with a passion for technology and a desire to impact industries that run our world. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy building relationships with customers, helping them understand the value of IoT solutions. Your experience includes engaging with multiple stakeholders and navigating complex sales processes, ensuring that you can effectively communicate the benefits of sensor data to potential clients.

You have a strong understanding of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, and you are comfortable managing negotiations with various stakeholders, including owners and operational managers. Your ability to articulate the value proposition of technology solutions will be key to your success in this role. You are motivated by results and are eager to contribute to the growth of Samsara's business.

Desirable

Experience in the IoT or technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with industries such as agriculture, construction, or transportation. You may have a background in account management or business development, which will help you excel in this position. A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets will demonstrate your capability to drive results.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Samsara's IoT solutions to small and medium-sized customers. You will engage with potential clients to understand their needs and demonstrate how Samsara's products can improve their operations. Your typical sales will range from $5k to $20k, and you will often conduct proof of concepts to showcase the value of our solutions.

You will work closely with various stakeholders within client organizations, including safety and operational managers, to ensure that you address their specific needs and concerns. Your role will involve negotiating pricing and terms, ensuring that both Samsara and the customer find a mutually beneficial agreement.

You will also collaborate with internal teams to provide feedback from the field, helping to shape product offerings and improve customer satisfaction. Your insights will be valuable in refining our approach to sales and customer engagement, ensuring that we remain competitive in the market.
