Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in product management, ideally with a focus on driving product strategy and execution. You understand how to translate customer needs into a compelling product roadmap and have a track record of working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and other teams to deliver impactful solutions. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining a clear focus on the end goals. You have a strong analytical mindset and are data-driven in your decision-making, ensuring that your product direction is informed by customer insights and market trends.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate product vision and strategy to various stakeholders, from engineering teams to executive leadership. You thrive in collaborative settings and enjoy mentoring and guiding team members to achieve their best work. You are passionate about building technology that drives positive change and fosters a culture of belonging within your team.

Desirable

Experience in the work management or productivity software space is a plus, as is familiarity with AI-driven product development. You may have a background in user research or experience working directly with demanding customers, from startups to global enterprises, to validate product ideas and iterate based on feedback.

What you'll do

As the Director of Product for New Initiatives at Asana, you will own the product direction for the next generation of persona-packaged products. You will work from first principles to define new product primitives that enhance how modern teams plan, sequence, and ship work in an AI-native world. Your role will involve conceptualizing, launching, and iterating on products that cater to millions of teams globally. You will partner closely with design and engineering teams to transform ambiguous problem spaces into clear, actionable workflows that resonate with high-performing teams.

You will be responsible for developing a focused roadmap based on customer insights and market analysis, ensuring that your initiatives align with Asana's broader business objectives. You will engage directly with customers to validate your product bets, gathering feedback that will inform your strategy and execution. Your leadership will be crucial in driving cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that all teams are aligned and working towards common goals.

In this role, you will also be involved in process improvements, helping to refine how product management operates within Asana. You will lead by example, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability within your team. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of work management and contribute to Asana's mission of helping teams work more efficiently together.

What we offer

Asana provides a supportive and inclusive work environment where you can thrive. You will have access to flexible working arrangements, including hybrid models that allow you to balance in-office and remote work. Asana values diversity and is committed to building a culture where everyone feels they belong.
