The Global Selling team is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon’s 19+ overseas marketplaces and supporting local Sellers’ success and growth on the Amazon. In our effort to support this business growth around the world, we are looking for a passionate Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to turn data into actionable insights, and support business operation and strategic decision making via business intelligence solution and artificial intelligence tools. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams and multiple business time to design and develop data solution and enhance analytics capabilities for BI and AI Automation initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
• Translating business questions and concerns into specific analytical questions that can be answered with available data using BI tools; produce the required data when it is not available.
• Apply Statistical and Machine Learning methods to specific business problems and data.
• Ensure data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, including such areas as data sourcing/collection, ground truth generation, normalization, transformation, cross-lingual alignment/mapping, etc.
• Communicate proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions to drive business decisions.
• Collaborate with colleagues from multidisciplinary science, engineering and business backgrounds.
• Develop efficient data querying and modeling infrastructure.
• Manage your own process. Prioritize and execute on high impact projects, triage external requests, and ensure to deliver projects in time.
• Utilizing code (SQL, Python, R, etc.) for analyzing data and building statistical models.- Master's degree in BI, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, data science or analytics position.
- Advanced working knowledge of data engineering, ETL pipeline, and data modeling.
- Demonstrated experience data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience- Hands on experience with statistical analysis, applying various machine learning techniques, predictive modeling and data mining
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in e-commerce with AI technology as a plus.
