Asana is seeking an SMB Account Executive to drive expansion and new acquisition within the SMB segment. You'll manage a diverse portfolio of accounts and work on strategic account management. This role requires strong customer engagement skills and experience in sales.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the SMB segment, and are energized by helping customers unlock their potential. You thrive in a high-growth environment and are skilled at managing a dynamic book of business. Your experience includes driving both expansion and new acquisition through strategic account management and outbound prospecting. You understand the importance of building lasting partnerships and are adept at converting inbound opportunities into successful sales. You possess strong communication skills and can effectively segment accounts to develop tailored Account Plans for high-propensity prospects. You are comfortable running the full sales cycle, from discovery and solution mapping to negotiating commercial terms and closing deals.
Experience in a technology company or familiarity with product-led growth strategies would be beneficial. A background in account management or business development is also a plus, as is a strong understanding of customer engagement strategies.
In this role, you will own and grow your book of business by managing a diverse portfolio of SMB accounts. You will focus on balancing retention, adoption, and new revenue opportunities, ensuring that your clients are engaged and satisfied with Asana's offerings. You will drive adoption and expansion by increasing product engagement and identifying growth opportunities within your accounts. Your responsibilities will include running persona-based and vertical-specific outbound motions targeting self-serve and white-space accounts. You will also convert inbound demand by qualifying and closing opportunities generated by marketing and SDR teams. Maintaining accurate forecasts will be crucial, as you will need to provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates on your progress and pipeline.
