Coupang is hiring a Senior Staff Backend Engineer to innovate logistics and enhance their delivery network. You'll work with Java and Spring to build efficient systems. This role requires extensive backend engineering experience.
You have over 5 years of backend engineering experience, building production systems that scale effectively — you've owned services from design through deployment and have navigated complex distributed systems challenges. Your deep expertise in Java and Spring allows you to create high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests, and you have strong opinions on service architecture and testing strategies. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency in logistics. You are comfortable with the fast-paced nature of e-commerce and are eager to push the boundaries of what's possible in technology. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you enjoy tackling challenges head-on, always looking for ways to improve processes and systems.
