SpaceX is seeking a Design Criteria Engineer to drive improvements in vehicle design and ensure successful mission completion. You'll work closely with hardware teams and utilize CAD modeling. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 1+ years of relevant experience.
You hold a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and have at least 1 year of experience with mechanical design, manufacturing, or analysis. You are eager to step into an agile system engineering team and facilitate cross-disciplinary action and problem-solving across various engineering staff. Your background has equipped you with the skills to drive improvements in vehicle design by closely integrating with hardware teams. You are detail-oriented and capable of providing critical peer review and approval of hardware designs during design reviews, ensuring that all designs meet or exceed mission requirements.
Experience with tools and methods for accurate design criteria dissemination is a plus. Familiarity with rapid conceptual design, analysis, and testing cycles on development hardware will help you thrive in this role. You are comfortable with CAD modeling and testing oversight, which will be essential in your contributions to the team.
As a Design Criteria Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for ensuring that hardware and operations lead to the successful completion of missions. You will drive improvements to vehicle design by being closely integrated with hardware teams, providing critical peer review and approval of hardware designs during design reviews.
