Frontend Engineer, Dotcom (Marketing)

Who you are

You have experience building production web applications at scale using TypeScript, Next.js, React, native JavaScript, and CSS — you understand the intricacies of developing complex applications and systems from the ground up. You thrive in environments where you can partner closely with design and marketing teams to communicate a mission effectively. Your ability to create efficient and reusable front-end systems is complemented by your comfort in deploying front-end infrastructure necessary for testing and deployment. You are detail-oriented and have a strong sense of aesthetics, ensuring that the user experience is both beautiful and accessible.

Bonus points if you have experience with visualizations or charting libraries — this will enhance your ability to present data in an engaging manner. You are comfortable working with limited development infrastructure, which allows you to be resourceful and innovative in your approach to problem-solving. What you'll do

In this role, you will partner closely with design, marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders to communicate OpenAI’s mission to the world. You will design and build efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive a complex web application with millions of visitors a day. Your responsibilities will include planning and deploying the front-end infrastructure necessary to build, test, and deploy our site. You will work collaboratively with other engineers on the team, ensuring that the features you ship are not only functional but also enhance the overall user experience. You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from ideation through deployment, and will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the marketing engineering team.
