Job Description

Amazon Business aims to become the most customer-centric provider of products and procurement services for business, government, and industry in the world. As an Engineering Manager for the BuyX Discovery team, you'll lead a team of software engineers building sophisticated discovery experiences that help millions of business customers find the right products. You'll drive technical excellence while developing your team members and delivering customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering their growth and career development
- Drive technical architecture decisions and ensure operational excellence
- Partner with product, UX, and business teams to define and execute the technical roadmap
- Own the delivery of recommendation systems and large-scale distributed systems
- Drive data-driven decisions through metrics and customer insights
- Manage project prioritization, resource allocation, and technical debt

Impact You'll Make:
- Shape the future of B2B e-commerce discovery experiences
- Build solutions that serve millions of business customers globally
- Drive innovation in product discovery and personalization
- Develop the next generation of technical leaders



- 5+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable architectures
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience with machine learning, data engineering, and large language models
- Track record of delivering complex technical projects- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
