You'll focus on understanding customer pain points and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 8+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in enterprise sales.
You have over 8 years of experience in closing sales, particularly in the enterprise sector, and have consistently met or exceeded sales goals of over $1 million. Your background includes a mix of field selling and strategic account management, allowing you to navigate complex sales processes effectively. You possess a strong understanding of the public sector landscape in Australia, particularly in the ANZ North territory, which includes New South Wales, Queensland, and the Northern Territory. You are driven and resourceful, with an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation. Your ability to develop and maintain relationship maps for your territory is exceptional, and you excel at negotiating favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI. You are adept at managing existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth within your assigned territory.
Experience in cloud solutions and familiarity with Datadog's offerings would be advantageous, as would a strong network within the public sector. You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work to achieve your sales targets.
In this role, you will prospect into the public sector in the ANZ North territory, focusing on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale. You will run an efficient sales process, maintaining and building specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes both existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your deep comprehension of customers' businesses will enable you to negotiate favorable pricing and business terms effectively. You will handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory. Demonstrating resourcefulness when faced with challenges will be key, as will ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency in your sales efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver the appropriate Datadog solutions that meet customer needs.
