Who you are

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Engineering, or a similar technical area of study — you have a foundational understanding of engineering principles and practices. Experience with installing a Network or Linux system is essential, as you will be working directly with these technologies in a hands-on capacity. You are a team player who can collaborate effectively with others to resolve challenges and contribute to a positive work environment. Your ability to learn new technical skills and domains quickly will be crucial in adapting to the fast-paced nature of data center operations. Fluency in English is required, enabling you to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Desirable

Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in a relevant field is preferred, as it demonstrates a deeper commitment to your technical education. Experience with hardware architecture, maintenance, and repair will set you apart, as you will be involved in the physical upkeep of data center equipment. Knowledge of networking, including topology and protocol concepts, will be beneficial in understanding the infrastructure you will help maintain.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Technician Intern, you will play a key role in the Data Center team, gaining valuable experience by assisting with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure. You will help with cabling and identify trends for machine failure, reporting bugs and collaborating with remote teams to resolve them. Your contributions will extend to projects involving deployment and maintenance, providing essential support for the data center's operations. You will configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related challenges on servers, addressing critical or escalated technical issues affecting a significant population of equipment. This role will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of data center operations and the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a real-world setting.
