You have a strong background in sales, particularly in the payments industry, with a proven track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a deep understanding of technology and the payments landscape. Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese and English is essential for this role, enabling you to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
Your experience includes developing outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities, demonstrating your proactive approach to sales. You are skilled in leading commercial negotiations and closing deals, ensuring that you maximize value for both Stripe and its clients. You understand the importance of account mapping and coordinating effective meetings with external stakeholders to expand customer relationships.
You are a collaborative team player, working closely with the Regional Partnerships team to drive brand awareness and pipeline growth. Your superior verbal and written communication skills enable you to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, making you an effective advocate for Stripe's offerings.
While not mandatory, previous experience in payments sales will give you an edge in this role. A strong interest in technology and a deep understanding of the payments landscape will help you navigate client conversations and provide tailored solutions. You are adaptable and can operate in ambiguous situations, making you well-suited for the dynamic nature of the role.
As an Account Executive at Stripe, you will be responsible for expanding business with high-growth technology companies and traditional enterprises in the Iberia region. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, partnering with cross-functional teams such as Sales Development Representatives, Product Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Risk & Legal. Your role will involve developing outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities, driving deal strategy, and managing commercial negotiations for large, complex renewals.
You will be responsible for account mapping and coordinating effective meetings with the appropriate external stakeholders, ensuring that you build and maintain strong customer relationships. Collaborating closely with the Regional Partnerships team, you will drive brand awareness and contribute to the overall pipeline growth for Stripe in the region.
Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to identify new opportunities, execute on long-term sales strategies, and close deals that align with Stripe's mission to increase the GDP of the internet. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Stripe's offerings meet the technical and business requirements of your clients.
