Job Description

Amazon Business Payments & Lending (ABPL) is focused on building the most innovative Business-to-Business (B2B) buying, purchasing and management destination in the world. Amazon Business Payments seeks a leader with Product and technical expertise to develop and operate affordability solutions for business customers globally.

This individual will be the single-threaded leader for affordability solutions (e.g., installment lending), with ownership for one existing product and a mandate for growth. The ideal candidate will operate independently to develop and execute on a vision to develop and grow a portfolio of affordability solutions for our business customers. This leader will leverage experience in the financial services and technology sectors to work backwards from customer needs, and identify and develop the products needed to sustainably meet those needs.

Key job responsibilities
This individual will operate independently to:
- Own the P&L and manage an existing installment lending program in the US, with fluency in the customer experience, financial, operational, and technical implications of product decisions
- Drive worldwide product strategy, working backwards from customer needs in each geography
- Lead product creation, working closely with engineering, design, marketing, finance, operations, legal, business development, analytics, and research teams to build and grow a worldwide portfolio of affordability solutions.
- Earn and retain trust with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership of current and prospective financial services partners, internal customers, and cross-functional teams
- Own executive reviews, with the ability to develop and communicate business and product vision, progress, and dependencies
- Define how we measure success, with development and reporting on KPIs to understand and improve upon performance of the business
- Drive mechanisms to optimize the team’s efficiency, alignment and ability to scale
- Lead as an individual contributor, with the potential to create and grow a team to build and operate a worldwide portfolio of payment products

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- 10+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 5+ years experience in technical product or program management
- 5+ years experience in financial services or fintech- Advanced degree in a technical field or MBA
- Experience leading a portfolio of products in multiple countries
- Passion for big challenges and a sense of humor

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
