Overview

Xometry is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to support Sales by providing technical expertise and customer engagement in the aerospace and defense sectors. This role requires strong project management skills and a background in engineering.

Who you are

You are an experienced engineer with a strong background in customer engagement and technical expertise, particularly in the aerospace and defense industries. You have a proven track record of supporting sales teams and driving account growth through your engineering insights. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders sets you apart, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can partner with Account Executives to illuminate and execute major projects.

With a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, you proactively identify and address potential challenges, ensuring alignment with customer projects and initiatives. You are enthusiastic about the aerospace industry and possess the digital fluency necessary to navigate Xometry's digital marketplace effectively. Your charisma and team-focused approach make you a valuable asset in any customer-facing role.

Desirable

Experience in project management and familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles would be advantageous. A background in engineering disciplines related to CNC and sheet metal processes is also a plus, as it will enhance your ability to provide relevant insights to customers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will partner closely with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention, leveraging your engineering expertise to support sales efforts. You will join Account Executives on onsite visits with customers when appropriate, providing technical insights that help illuminate project requirements and potential solutions.
