Software Engineer, Money Team

Who you are

You have 2+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and maintaining data ETL pipelines. Your strong object-oriented data modeling and analysis skills with SQL enable you to handle complex data tasks effectively. You are comfortable with high-precision, number-heavy work and data analysis, especially around billing and finance flows. Your familiarity with cloud-native environments, particularly AWS or Azure, positions you well for this role. You have a keen interest in collaborating closely with Finance and Product teams on compute economics, OPEX/margin, billing workflows, and CSP cost tooling. You are dedicated to developing working solutions interactively with AI tooling and possess strong computer science fundamentals that support your long-term growth and system design capabilities.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Money Team at Rescale, you will be responsible for building a platform that simplifies the work of scientists and engineers through large-scale simulations. You will empower enterprise leaders to orchestrate simulation workloads and manage financial aspects effectively. Your role will involve interfacing with subject matter experts in mechanical engineering, life sciences, and electronics design to understand customer needs and ensure the product remains reliable during periods of massive dynamic scale. You will contribute to the development of usage-based billing and internal accounting tools, enhancing spend visibility for the organization. Your work will directly impact how products are developed and how innovation is unlocked across various industries, including aerospace, energy, life sciences, and manufacturing.
