Affirm is seeking a Social & Community Manager to shape how the brand engages with culture and community. You'll be responsible for spotting trends and participating in real-time conversations across social platforms. This role requires cultural fluency and a passion for social media.
You have a deep understanding of social media dynamics and a knack for cultural fluency — you know what’s trending before it trends and can engage with communities in a way that feels authentic and relevant. You thrive on being in the conversation, spending as much time in comments as in feeds, and believe that brands should feel like part of the dialogue, not just observers. You have experience in managing social media channels and understand the nuances of different platforms, from TikTok to Reddit. You are creative and can translate cultural moments into engaging content that resonates with audiences. You are comfortable collaborating with senior leadership on strategy while also being hands-on in executing campaigns.
In this role, you will be the cultural radar for Affirm, spotting trends and conversations that matter to our audience. You will participate in real-time cultural moments, engaging with the right tone and speed to ensure Affirm is relevant and present. You will work closely with the Brand & Communications team to develop creative campaigns that bring Affirm’s mission to life. Your role will involve analyzing social media metrics to understand engagement and impact, allowing you to refine strategies and improve community interactions. You will also be responsible for fostering a sense of community among Affirm’s audience, ensuring that our brand feels approachable and human. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that our messaging aligns with our overall brand strategy and resonates with our target audience.
