Waymo is seeking an Emergency Services Liaison to manage relationships with emergency services across the UK and Europe. You'll be responsible for establishing contacts and promoting safety strategies for autonomous vehicles. This role requires strong communication and relationship management skills.
You have a strong background in relationship management, particularly with emergency services, and understand the importance of safety in autonomous driving technology. Your experience includes establishing and maintaining contacts at management and executive levels, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. You are adept at designing and presenting safety strategies and policies, and you thrive in a hybrid work environment where you can engage with various stakeholders. You are committed to promoting safety and improving access to mobility through innovative solutions.
Experience in the autonomous driving or technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory frameworks and safety standards. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and can navigate complex situations with ease. Your ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and organizations will be key to your success in this role.
In this role, you will be accountable for all aspects of Emergency Services relationships in the UK and Europe. You will establish and maintain primary contact with Emergency Services at management and executive levels in current and future areas of operation. Your responsibilities will include designing, presenting, and certifying additional safety strategies and policies for autonomous vehicles. You will work closely with regulatory authorities, lawmakers, law enforcement, and public and non-profit organizations to promote safety and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. You will also be involved in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the safety of Waymo's fully autonomous driving technology.
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of £110,000—£119,000 GBP, along with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus program and an equity incentive plan. You will also benefit from a generous company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
