Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in software engineering management, leading teams focused on developer productivity, test infrastructure, or complex automation platforms.
- Experience in applying AI and machine learning to solve software development challenges (e.g., AI-powered testing, debugging, validation, or developer tooling).
- Experience in software development, with an understanding of CI/CD, large-scale automated testing, and software quality assurance principles.
- Ability to align team goals with broader organizational objectives and drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate closely with partner teams to understand their needs and co-develop solutions with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

This team enables Geo Product teams to ship features rapidly by building specialized infrastructure and tooling.Our focus areas include building GenAI tooling and system health tooling, and improving overall Geo Developer velocity. You will be responsible for integrating AI to revolutionize debugging, testing, and automation. You will partner closely with key Geo product teams, co-develop solutions, and collaborate with the global SDA organization to share innovations.The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. - Drive the team's technical strategy for enhancing developer velocity, including the development and maintenance of critical test infrastructure and automation frameworks.
- Advocate the innovation to drive integration and development of AI-powered tools (e.g., for validation, automation, and debugging) to solve complex problems and transform the developer experience.
- Provide technical experience throughout the product life-cycle including design, implementation and delivery of scalable build/test/release infrastructure.
- Create the next generation developer tooling and infrastructure, focusing on productivity, testing and release, while balancing the needs of developers.
- Recruit and manage the careers and professional growth of engineers and leads on your teams through project definition, individual coaching, and identifying relevant training classes. Lead a team of Engineers focused on improving developer velocity, scalability and reliability of the Geo products.
