Amazon is hiring an Infrastructure Technician to maintain and optimize AWS global infrastructure. You'll work with data centers, servers, and networking equipment while ensuring safety and compliance. This role requires technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong technical aptitude and possess analytical and problem-solving skills that enable you to tackle complex challenges. Your clear written and verbal communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including software engineers and operations managers. You are capable of working independently and leading teams, making quick decisions and prioritizing tasks effectively. You are physically fit and able to lift/move 40 pounds independently, participate in team lifts for heavier items, and work in confined, elevated, and noisy environments. You are comfortable standing and walking for 8+ hours daily and navigating ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.

What you'll do

As an Infrastructure Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining safety and security standards while following established installation procedures. You will operate material handling equipment safely and install fiber and copper cabling to ensure network stability and sustainability. Your role will involve completing equipment patching and traveling between data centers as needed. You will collaborate with a diverse team to deliver the highest safety and security standards while optimizing infrastructure costs. Your contributions will help drive the mission of AWS Infrastructure Services, ensuring continuous customer access to AWS services.
