Job Description

Amazon Japan Consumer Innovation team is seeking an experienced Product Manager who excels at integrating product features into business processes. This role will also own mechanism to scale engagement with Retail business teams, voice of customers, coordination with partner teams for product success metrics, marketing, education, as well as leading the requirements of features expansion into different business segments.

The ideal candidate should possess the expertise and passion in program and project management. They can influence strategically and build strong trust with stakeholders. Additionally, they can anticipate business needs, make tradeoffs, and balance business dynamics despite constraints. Strong judgment and the ability to influence without explicit authority are crucial for success, as well as knowing when and where to advocate vigorously for the customers. Lastly, we expect this product manager to start by “rolling up their sleeves,” understand business needs and possess the ability to create simple, scalable solutions to complex problems, and communicate complex topics concisely and easily.
- 3+ years of experience developing e-commerce products from end-to-end. Understanding of software feature development cycles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience designing and building e-commerce B2B products.
- Skilled at product strategy, roadmaps, and aligning Product and Engineering teams on priorities.
- Excellent at cross-functional stakeholder management and communication with senior and strategic partners.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong judgement, attention to detail, problem-solving, and data-driven analytical approach.- Experience of leading the development of Business Intelligence or Analytics products and applications.
- Experience of building and driving adoption of new tools.
- Possess a strong understanding of the business aspects of technology and operations, with an enthusiasm for metrics and analysis to achieve business goals.
- Background in Japan's B2B e-commerce sector, including vendor, seller, and account management systems and automation.
- Skilled in writing efficient database queries in a large-scale business setting.
- History of working with and persuasively influencing remote global product, program, and technical teams.
