You have extensive experience in UI engineering, with a proven track record of leading teams to build engaging and user-friendly interfaces. Your background includes hands-on experience with JavaScript and React, allowing you to guide architectural decisions while remaining close to the code. You thrive in fast-paced environments where you can anticipate user needs and drive innovation in product design. You possess strong collaboration skills, working closely with Product, Design, and Research teams to align on vision and execution. You are adept at navigating shifting priorities and can deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. You understand the importance of user experience and are committed to creating products that are not only functional but also delightful to use.

Desirable

Experience with mobile and desktop applications is a plus, as is familiarity with browser extensions. A background in AI-powered applications would be beneficial, given the nature of the products you will be working on. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can adapt to new challenges as they arise.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead and grow the UI engineering teams responsible for developing all consumer-facing Claude experiences. You will shape the technical vision and execution for interfaces that are intuitive and responsive, impacting how millions of users interact with Claude daily. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the product roadmap aligns with user needs and market trends. Your responsibilities will include steering architectural decisions, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will also be involved in hands-on coding, ensuring that you remain connected to the technical aspects of the projects. As a leader, you will be expected to communicate effectively with stakeholders and advocate for the user experience throughout the development process.
