You have previous experience as a Business Development Representative or Sales Development Representative in a similar or adjacent industry — you understand the nuances of lead management and sales prospecting. You possess strong communication skills that allow you to engage effectively with leads and account executives, adapting your approach to meet their needs. You are organized and detail-oriented, ensuring that all interactions are documented and that you maintain an up-to-date lead pipeline using Salesforce.com and other sales tools. You thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility.
Experience with sales tools such as Outreach, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo is a plus — you are comfortable using technology to enhance your sales processes. You have a proactive mindset, always looking for ways to refine your prospecting techniques and improve your engagement strategies. You are results-driven, with a track record of achieving monthly and quarterly goals for qualified opportunities and meetings booked.
As a Mid-Market Business Development Representative at Contentful, you will play a crucial role in the growth of the company by managing our lead pipeline and identifying new sales opportunities. You will engage with existing leads through personalized outreach, ensuring timely follow-ups and maintaining active engagement. You will partner with Mid-Market Account Executives to build their pipelines, receiving consistent feedback to sharpen your skills and enhance your effectiveness in the role. You will document and strategize using various details, including use cases and stakeholder information, to better understand how to prospect and find new opportunities in both new and existing accounts.
You will prioritize opportunities and apply appropriate internal resources to move accounts through the customer journey, ensuring a smooth transition from lead to qualified opportunity. You will utilize Salesforce.com for lead management and sales forecasting, keeping the system up-to-date with all relevant information. In this fast-paced environment, you will be expected to achieve monthly and quarterly goals for qualified opportunities and meetings booked for the Account Executive team. You will qualify inbound leads thoroughly before moving them towards the correct outcome, ensuring that only the most promising leads are pursued.
