Uber is hiring a Data Scientist II to build scalable analytical frameworks for product analytics. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize skills in SQL, R, and SAS. This role requires 3+ years of experience in a data-focused position.
You have 3+ years of experience in a data-focused role such as product analytics, risk analytics, business analytics, or data science, ideally with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Economics, or Statistics. You possess proven competency in statistical languages like SQL, R, and SAS, and you are comfortable working with large datasets to derive actionable insights. Your experience includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, and you have a strong understanding of data quality and pipeline management. You are proactive in communicating insights and driving projects towards team goals, ensuring that data solutions are scalable and effective.
Experience with data visualization tools and frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with experimentation cycles and product roadmaps. You are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to tackle customer and business pain points through innovative data solutions.
In this role, you will build scalable analytical frameworks to support product analytics for Uber's Customer Obsession Platform. You will partner with product managers, engineers, and various data teams to scope business problems and provide a data lens to product design. You will own the experimentation cycle from inception to global rollouts, ensuring that insights are communicated effectively to drive project success. Your responsibilities will include maintaining critical data pipelines and monitoring tools that track metrics to measure platform health. You will also proactively seek out opportunities to build new solutions that address customer and business challenges, ensuring data quality across critical pipelines and setting up processes to triage data issues.
