Job Description

Ring is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our Product Sustaining team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end program ownership of sustaining hardware initiatives for Ring’s mass production devices—from post-ramp through end-of-life. You will lead cross-functional efforts across global teams and external partners including Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and 3rd-party labs to manage engineering changes, qualify second sources, develop new SKUs, and resolve technical and operational challenges to ensure long-term product quality and performance.

As a Sr. TPM, you will coordinate change intake reviews, drive impact assessments, align development resources, and oversee post-ramp validation activities. You will engage with diverse stakeholders such as Hardware, Firmware, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Business teams to deliver sustaining solutions that meet quality, cost, and timeline goals. This role requires strong technical depth, excellent program management skills, and the ability to influence across teams and organizations.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading complex hardware sustaining programs, navigating system and operational trade-offs, managing dependencies, and driving continuous process improvements. This is a critical role that ensures Ring’s devices continue to deliver high-quality performance throughout their lifecycle.

Key job responsibilities
- Own and drive end-to-end sustaining program management for Ring’s hardware products from mass production through end-of-life.
- Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and external Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to execute and manage sustaining development, post-ramp qualification (PRQ), engineering changes, and new SKU development.
- Develop and manage detailed schedules, milestones, and resource plans for sustaining projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business priorities.
- Facilitate intake process reviews for sustaining requests, perform impact assessments, and align cross-functional teams around risk, tradeoffs, and resource commitments.
- Proactively identify technical and program risks, develop mitigation plans, and drive issue resolution to maintain program momentum.
- Lead phase gate reviews and ensure deliverables meet high quality and operational standards.
- Deliver clear and concise program updates to stakeholders and leadership, providing transparency into progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Identify and implement improvements to program management tools, mechanisms, and processes to increase execution efficiency and cross-team collaboration.- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 8+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Strong communication skills in English & Chinese
- Self-driven, motivated, and willing to take on challenges in a very fast-paced environment
- Experience in managing consumer electronics product- 6+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience in managing end to end product development
- Experience in the IP camera, mobile phone or related products will be a plus.
