Job Description

Have you ever ordered a product on Amazon websites and when the box arrived wondered how you got it just as promised, what it cost Amazon, and what kinds of systems & processes must be running behind the scenes to power the whole operation? Amazon’s Direct Fulfillment (DF) team is part of the Supply Chain Optimization Technology team, and owns and operates an order fulfillment channel where Amazon can work with vendors to send orders directly to customers. The DF team’s important goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as fast as feasibly possible, safely, on time, in full...every time. As a backdrop to all of this, we hold the safeguarding of our customers’ data used to fulfill their orders as our highest priority. This Program Manager role will drive the execution of vendor security assessment programs across multiple international regions in Amazon's Direct Fulfillment channel. You'll manage complex vendor assessment workflows, coordinate with regional stakeholders, and ensure consistent program delivery across different markets while maintaining Amazon's high security standards. This role requires strong execution capabilities at scale, excellent cross-geo stakeholder management, and the ability to adapt programs to regional requirements.
You'll manage vendor security assessment programs across multiple international regions, with end-to-end responsibility for thousands of vendor assessments and regional process improvements. Daily execution involves managing multiple critical workflows: 1) Building and providing clear visibility of vendor assessment status and business impact to regional category teams, 2) Coordinating with category teams on high-impact vendor prioritization and seeking their support for vendor engagement, 3) Working with security teams to optimize assessment bandwidth allocation and track progress across regions, 4) Managing complex vendor escalations through established channels, particularly for business-critical vendors requiring special attention, and 5) Drive process improvements to increase efficiency. This person must be highly organized to manage thousands of vendor assessments simultaneously, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, and able to work autonomously while maintaining high standards.
