What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Routing Team, you will be responsible for building and scaling backend systems that ensure the Nuro Driver™ reaches its destinations safely and efficiently. You will design microservices that optimize routing algorithms, delivering highly accurate ETAs and managing scalable traffic for every journey.

You will work closely with product and strategy teams to define the product roadmap and develop new features that enhance user experiences. Your role will involve analyzing and refining existing routing systems, ensuring they adapt as the business and geolocation expand.

You will also be tasked with building monitoring and analytics infrastructure that tracks system performance and user interactions — this data will be crucial for making informed decisions about system improvements and feature enhancements.

In addition, you will optimize deployment pipelines to ensure that new features and updates are delivered efficiently and reliably. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team, mentoring junior engineers and sharing your expertise.
