Overview

Formlabs is hiring a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to improve manufacturing lines and work with contract manufacturers. You'll leverage your engineering experience to enhance production efficiency. This role requires 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, demonstrating a strong background in improving production processes and systems. Your experience includes working with overseas contract manufacturers or suppliers, which has equipped you with the skills to navigate complex supply chains effectively. You are a proactive problem solver, always looking for ways to enhance efficiency and quality in manufacturing. You have successfully brought electro-mechanical products or projects to market on time and within budget, showcasing your ability to manage projects from conception to completion. You possess a Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field, such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, which provides you with a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices.

Desirable

Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and methodologies is a plus, as is familiarity with metrics and performance evaluation in production environments. You are comfortable collaborating with design engineers to ensure that design changes are effectively integrated into manufacturing processes, and you have a keen eye for detail that helps you identify areas for improvement.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for improving existing manufacturing lines, helping Formlabs grow with increased production volumes. You will establish in-line or intermediate checks to catch failures earlier in the process, ensuring that quality standards are met consistently. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and analyzing production lines, where you will build processes and implement metrics to track performance and drive continuous improvement. You will work closely with contract manufacturers who create custom parts, collaborating with them to enhance their output and efficiency. Communication with design engineers will be a key part of your role, as you will ensure that design changes are adopted smoothly and effectively in the manufacturing process.

What we offer

At Formlabs, we offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $150,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance with your impact.
