Roku is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design data models and build scalable pipelines for capturing business metrics. You'll work with Python, Spark, and SQL to enhance user experiences across Roku devices. This role requires significant experience in data engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building scalable data pipelines and data models. Your expertise in Python, Spark, and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively. You understand the importance of data quality and have experience in ensuring that data is accurate and accessible for stakeholders. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that drive business growth. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and are comfortable working with complex data systems.
Experience with big data technologies and frameworks beyond Spark, such as Hadoop or Kafka, would be a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP can enhance your ability to deploy and manage data solutions effectively. You have a keen interest in data visualization tools and can communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
