You have a strong background in infrastructure engineering with at least 5 years of experience managing complex systems — you've successfully designed and operated multi-tenant infrastructures that handle high traffic and ensure performance. Your expertise in modern web and API development best practices allows you to create delightful developer experiences that prioritize user ownership and privacy.

You are proficient in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have hands-on experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker — you understand how to leverage these tools to build scalable and resilient systems. Your knowledge of observability practices ensures that you can maintain system performance and reliability, advocating for the right technical solutions to meet user needs.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with product teams to align engineering efforts with user-centric goals — your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders makes you a valuable team member. You are excited about the potential of web3 technologies and have a keen interest in authentication and security practices.

What you'll do

As a Staff Infrastructure Engineer at Privy, you will manage and architect multi-tenant infrastructure that serves billions of requests every month — your role will involve designing build and deploy systems across the stack, from SDKs to high-traffic APIs and secure enclaves. You will drive observability across the product, ensuring that systems remain performant and reliable in critical areas of our customers' stacks.

You will collaborate closely with a small, dedicated team that values both engineering excellence and product innovation — your contributions will help shape the tools that empower developers to create user-first products. You will advocate for best practices in infrastructure management and work on initiatives that enhance the overall developer experience.

Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing infrastructure solutions that are scalable and secure, as well as mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. You will also engage in cross-functional collaboration, working with product managers and designers to align technical capabilities with user needs.
