Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in firmware engineering, with a strong background in designing and developing reliable, scalable distributed systems. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to create efficient firmware solutions that meet the demands of high-performance cloud infrastructure. You are familiar with embedded Linux and understand the intricacies of hardware-software integration, enabling you to troubleshoot and optimize firmware for various server and rack infrastructures.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that firmware development aligns with overall project goals. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about innovation and continuously seek to improve processes and technologies to enhance the performance and reliability of cloud services.

Desirable

Experience with Azure services is a plus, as it will help you understand the broader context of your work within Microsoft's cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with server and rack design principles will also be beneficial as you contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions that support Microsoft's Intelligent Cloud mission.

What you'll do

As a Senior Firmware Engineer at Microsoft, you will be responsible for the design and development of firmware for server and rack infrastructure that powers Microsoft's cloud services.
