Job Description

AWS is building business with partners to meet the needs of Industry customers. We seek a leader to develop and grow business with technology and consulting partners in the Financial Services industry in Japan.

As the Japan Financial Services Industry (FSI) Partner Specialist, you will lead the Industry partner strategy and go-to-market with partners, to expand, build, and grow our business together. You will be part of the Asia-Pacific and Japan Industry Partner Specialist Team.

You have deep Financial Services industry background, and/or consulting experience that enables you to engage at the CXO level with our customers and partners. You show credibility as an industry expert, and interact with partners, enterprise customers and sales/field. The position requires a strong technical acumen, along with working knowledge of the FSI consulting services landscape. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about new business models, solutions, and relevant partner engagement to help build and convey compelling value propositions for AWS customers, through AWS Partners. You should also have a proven track record of influencing innovation through partners, with prior solution build, and program successes.

5+ years industry work experience in consulting or business development in FSI. Experience in a Line of Business (LoB) leadership role within a FSI organization is strongly preferred.

Japanese language fluency required, and business level English language skill (verbal/written)


Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute the regional FSI Industry partner strategy to expand, build, and grow a set of regional partners with industry specialization.
- Be the industry thought leader, and share insights on business trends, growth areas, including AWS focused Partner capability and capacity.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with diverse FSI focused Partner cohorts including global/Japan SIs, global/Japan ISVs, including CXO-level connects with customers, and partners.
- Evangelize the build and execution of strategic business plan with each industry partner, through close collaboration with AWS Industries and Sales teams.
- Work with new and existing strategic partners (across global/Japan SIs and ISVs), to expand AWS Industry practice by building offerings and solutions.
- Drive scale through incorporation of best practices and repeatable mechanisms across APJ customers.

About the team
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon, and the leader in providing secure, reliable, scalable, and innovative cloud services that help over a million businesses across the globe scale and grow. The APJ Industry Partner Specialist team is looking for experienced industry specialists to help our partners and customers implement AWS services
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Industry depth in Financial Services (Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Payments)
- Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, and demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- 10+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management experience
