Google is seeking a Data Center Security Manager to oversee security management for technical infrastructure locations. You'll coordinate compliance with regulatory requirements and lead a team in mitigating risks. This role requires extensive experience in security operations and people management.
You have over 10 years of experience developing and deploying processes to mitigate risk, leading operational or project-based work, and managing resources for data center locations. Your background includes sourcing or procuring business resources and vendors, along with a strong foundation in people management, supervision, or team leadership roles. You are adept at coordinating security operations and have a proven track record in managing incidents and crises effectively. With at least 3 years of experience in data center technologies, infrastructure, and methodologies, you understand the complexities involved in physical security system architecture, components, installation methods, administration, and troubleshooting.
You are a strategic thinker who can deliver solutions for ambiguous or new problems, leading teams in exploring existing capabilities or developing new systems. Your ability to influence and lead cross-organizational collaborations is key, as you direct the integration of multiple work streams on teams. You act as a trusted authority on strategic matters, providing domain expertise for a critical part of Google's security operations.
Experience in planning security operations or strategy for security programs is preferred, along with a strong understanding of compliance with regional governmental and regulatory requirements. Your ability to develop, maintain, and execute protocols to assess and mitigate threats to company assets is essential. You are also familiar with recommending security solutions or tools to help mitigate vulnerabilities and automate tasks.
As the Regional Security Manager for Data Center Compliance, Security & Risk Management, you will oversee a team responsible for the security management of a geographic region of technical infrastructure locations. Your role will involve ensuring that all sites comply with regional governmental and regulatory requirements. You will manage the daily operations of vendors providing services, including security, training, and risk management across multiple cross-functional technical infrastructure locations. You will be responsible for developing and executing protocols to assess and mitigate threats to company assets, ensuring that your team is equipped to handle any incidents that may arise.
You will lead efforts to explore new security solutions and tools, aligning resources to see solutions through to completion. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance within the organization. You will also be expected to influence and guide cross-functional teams, ensuring that security considerations are integrated into all aspects of operations.
