You have at least 2 years of experience in web development, with a strong foundation in both frontend and backend technologies. You are excited about improving the developer experience and have a passion for building tools that serve engineers effectively. Your experience includes working with JavaScript frameworks, and you are comfortable switching contexts between frontend and backend development. You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy mentoring your peers, contributing to open-source projects, and leading technical discussions. You are also familiar with tools like Backstage.io and have a keen interest in introducing cutting-edge technologies to your team.
In this role, you will be responsible for building new features for the Developer Console, which is a vital tool for engineers at DoorDash. You will work closely with product teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions. Your contributions will include developing features, fixing bugs, and enhancing the overall functionality of the Developer Console. You will also participate in cross-team collaborations, ensuring that the tools you build align with best practices and meet the needs of the engineering community. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help shape the technical direction of the team. You will represent the team in OKR and engineering presentations, helping to define the vision for the future of the Developer Console.
