SpaceX is hiring a Development Test Technician (Mechanical) to assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain flight-worthy spacecraft engines and components. You'll work on test operations and support engineering with process improvements at the McGregor facility.
You are a hands-on technician with a background in mechanical engineering or a related field. You have experience in assembling, troubleshooting, and maintaining mechanical systems, and you enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you can see the direct impact of your work. You are safety-conscious and understand the importance of maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You thrive in a collaborative team setting and are eager to support engineering efforts with your technical skills.
Experience with aerospace or automotive systems is a plus, as is familiarity with testing and maintenance protocols. You may have worked with engines or similar mechanical systems in previous roles, giving you a solid foundation to build upon in this position.
As a Development Test Technician at SpaceX, you will prepare test articles and systems for operations, ensuring that all equipment is ready and functioning correctly. You will perform post-test operations and inspections to verify that hardware meets flight-worthy standards.
