Position Summary:
As the Family Resource Center (FRC), family services are aimed at helping parents manage and recover from challenges, gain knowledge about parenting and child development, and develop the skills and knowledge to support their children’s learning, development and social and emotional competence.
The FRC Case Manager will need to communicate, translate, and use their bilingual skills toact as a liaison, advocate, and resource out in the community to provide intensive case management, family advocacy, and crisis intervention for families in the Tenderloin. Collaborating with, other GLIDE program staff, schools, community organizations and Protective Service Workers. The FRC Case Manager also offers trauma informed family engagement and perinatal navigation. Together, this essential role provides assessment of the family system and individual children, development of collaborative service plans, referrals to GLIDE programs and other services, and monitoring of progress towards the family’s goals. This position may periodically work non-traditional hours (early evenings, holidays, and weekends). Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
