Amazon is seeking an Infrastructure Delivery Install Technician to enhance the stability and sustainability of their networks. You'll work with AWS technologies and various networking devices. This role requires technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
You have a strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn new technologies — your understanding of computers, servers, switches, and networking devices is solid, both from a hardware and software perspective. You possess excellent written and oral communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals in various situations. Your analytical skills are strong, and you have a demonstrated ability to solve problems efficiently. You are proactive, exercising high levels of initiative and judgment in your work.
You are comfortable managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and workflows — this experience will help you complete customer requests and projects effectively. You are adaptable and can handle the demands of a dynamic work environment, which may include carrying a pager or cell phone for communication and emergency situations. You are open to travel, with up to 20% required within your geographical work area.
Experience with AWS technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with network automation and scaling solutions. A background in infrastructure operations or related fields will help you excel in this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the stability and sustainability of Amazon's next-generation networks. You will assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale the network, launching cutting-edge server technologies. Your ability to quickly and accurately assess a wide range of infrastructure issues will be crucial, as you will be solving diverse networking impairments. You will work closely with your team to ensure that all installations and configurations meet Amazon's high standards.
You will manage your workload through a ticketing system, prioritizing tasks to complete customer requests and projects efficiently.
