As CI&T grows, we seek a Senior Developer, AI Specialist to drive AI transformation in software engineering, designing, prototyping, and scaling agentic and GenAI solutions that improve developer experience, productivity, quality, and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
AI Solution Design & Experimentation
Lead end-to-end ideation, rapid prototyping (PoCs), and validation of GenAI use cases in engineering workflows.
Define hypotheses, success metrics, and run experiments (A/B/offline evals) with rigorous, data-driven measurement.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership; iterate toward production-ready solutions.
Agent Engineering & Orchestration
Design and build AI agents and agent factories (multi-tool, multi-step, guardrailed) using Python/
Node.js.
Implement orchestration with frameworks and protocols (e.g., LangChain/LangGraph, MCP—Model Context Protocol).
Integrate workflows with CI/CD pipelines; build reusable components and templates for scale.
Apply best practices in prompt engineering, tool use, memory, planning, and retrieval (RAG) with vector databases.
API & Microservices
Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs with Java/Kotlin, microservices architectures and distributed system.
LLMs & Platforms
Work hands-on with multiple LLMs and providers (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source like Llama/Mistral).
Collaboration & Client Engagement
Partner with Engineering, Platform, DevEx, Finance, and Operations to embed AI in delivery workflows.
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences; drive alignment and adoption.
Engage with clients as needed (occasional onsite presence) for discovery, workshops, demos, and rollout.
Documentation
Maintain concise documentation for architectures, prompts/agents, evaluation methods, and playbooks.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Solid experience in backend development, with proficiency in Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot.
Proven experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with messaging technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, EventHub) and event-driven architectures.
Practical experience or strong interest in integrating AI solutions into development processes, including the use of prompt engineering and related GenAI techniques.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies.
Advanced level in English to effectively read technical documentation and communicate with international teams.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, performant code.
Not required, but it's a plus:
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization and orchestration technologies.
Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Exposure to AI agents or projects involving generative AI.
Understanding of security best practices and data privacy regulations to ensure robust and compliance solutions.
