Amazon’s Customer Service organization is looking to expand its software engineering team to help drive automation and defect reduction for customers. Amazon's Customer Service (CS) department is seeking an experienced software development engineer (SDE) to join the team. Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will work within the Amazon Stores Customer Service (ASCS) Product and Tech team and own the delivery of technical changes from a strong roadmap of projects. The projects range from introducing automation for image and media analysis for customers to new Email, Push and SMS notifications. The candidate will gain a vast amount of experience in a short time period by working with various technical teams from across the globe on an away team model basis as well.
A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer in ASCS Product and Tech, you will take the lead on building innovative solutions and to address the root causes of defects for Amazon's customer. Successful candidates will be expected to show leadership on strong bias for action, invent and simplify, insist on the highest standards and deliver results.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
