Who you are

You are a strategic sales professional with a proven track record in selling to Oil, Gas, and Energy accounts. With your experience, you understand how to sell innovation and drive change by expanding customer vision. You are adept at compressing decision cycles and guiding deals forward, ensuring that you meet and exceed your sales targets. You have a passion for understanding products in depth and can effectively communicate their value to customers and system integrators. Your proactive approach allows you to identify new opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts.

You have previously worked in an early-stage company, which has equipped you with the skills to navigate complex sales environments successfully. Your field sales experience within big data and cloud solutions has given you the insights needed to engage with CIOs, IT executives, and other key decision-makers. You thrive in environments where you can close both new and existing accounts, and you are always looking for quick wins while managing longer, more complex sales cycles.

Desirable

Experience in a similar role within the technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with the Databricks enterprise cloud data platform powered by Apache Spark. You are comfortable using Salesforce to track customer details, including use cases, purchase time frames, and forecasting. Your solution-based approach to selling allows you to create significant value for customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

What you'll do

As a Strategic Core Account Executive at Databricks, you will present a territory plan within your first 90 days, outlining your strategy for engaging with key accounts. You will meet with CIOs, IT executives, and other important partners to understand their needs and how Databricks can provide solutions. Your role will involve closing both new accounts and maintaining existing relationships, ensuring that you exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets.

You will identify and close quick, small wins while also managing longer, complex sales cycles. Your ability to track all customer details in Salesforce will be crucial as you monitor use cases, purchase time frames, and next steps. You will employ a solution-based approach to selling, promoting Databricks' enterprise cloud data platform and ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.

Your success will be measured by your ability to prioritize opportunities and apply appropriate resources to achieve your goals. You will build a plan for success both internally at Databricks and externally with your accounts, ensuring that you are always aligned with customer needs and company objectives.
