As a Research Intern in the Model Shaping team, you will work on various projects that focus on advanced post-training methods across supervised learning, preference optimization, and reinforcement learning. You will assist in developing new techniques for efficient training of neural networks, including distributed training and algorithmic improvements. Your role will involve evaluating foundation model capabilities to ensure robustness and reliability. You will collaborate with other team members to tailor open foundation models to specific downstream applications, helping machine learning developers select and improve models using domain-specific data. You will also engage in research that contributes to open-source advancements in AI, participating in discussions and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas.
