Figma is seeking an Applied Scientist to drive fundamental and applied research in AI technologies. You'll work on building cutting-edge AI/ML models to enhance Figma's products. This role requires a strong background in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
You have a strong background in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, with experience in building AI technologies that enhance product offerings. You are passionate about exploring the boundaries of current technology and applying best practices to create innovative solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers and engineers to integrate AI-powered features into existing products. You possess a first-principles approach to problem-solving, allowing you to tackle complex challenges with creativity and rigor.
You have experience in developing Generative AI models and are familiar with techniques such as Supervised Finetuning and Reinforcement Learning. You understand the importance of synthetic data generation and prompt improvements in the context of AI model training. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively makes you a valuable team member, as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impactful results.
Experience with large-scale AI projects or contributions to open-source AI initiatives would be a plus. Familiarity with the design and user experience domain can help you better understand the needs of Figma's users and how AI can enhance their workflows.
