Apple is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the AirPods Tools team to develop CI testing pipelines and tooling for audio products. You'll work with Python and Object Oriented Programming principles to enhance the efficiency of firmware and software. This role requires 5+ years of experience in software development.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of experience developing large-scale software applications in Python. Your strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming and software fundamentals, including data structures, multi-threading, and algorithms, sets you apart. You possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proven record of tackling complex and unknown challenges. As a strong advocate for collaborative development practices, you thrive in team environments while also being able to work independently. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills make you a great teammate who can effectively partner with cross-functional teams.
Experience with CI/CD practices and tools would be a plus, as well as familiarity with firmware development for consumer electronics. A passion for audio products and a desire to improve quality for customers will help you excel in this role.
In this individual contributor role, you will develop the CI testing pipelines and tooling necessary for building Apple’s audio products. You will collaborate with a wide cross-functional team to continually enhance the efficiency of firmware and software in Apple products. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the development of cutting-edge audio technologies. You will be expected to communicate effectively with team members and other engineering teams, ensuring that everyone is aligned on project goals and timelines. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during the development process, applying your critical thinking skills to find impactful solutions.
