Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience project managing and delivering technical solutions.
- Experience with architecting, developing, and maintaining technical solutions by leveraging virtual machines, containers (e.g., Kubernetes/Google Kubernetes Engine GKE), serverless computing, or Software Defined Networking (SDN).
- Experience working in a cloud computing environment (i.e., infrastructure, storage, platforms or data).
- Experience in microservices, serverless computing, and web technologies.
- Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support support client relationship management in the Taiwan region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with customer-facing migrations, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
- Experience with detailed network security and system design of load balancers, firewalls, and VPN in the deployment of virtual machines and containerized applications.
- Experience reading software code in one or more languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, or Python).
- Experience with DevOps practices, including infrastructure-as-code, continuous integration, automated deployment, unit or automated testing tools..
- Experience with Kubernetes or GKE.
- Experience in systems design, with the ability to architect or explain systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs, and methods available.

As an Application Modernization Cloud Consultant, you will work with Google’s customers on critical application development and modernization projects to help them transform their businesses. You will provide consulting, program management and technical expertise to customers while working with client executives and key technical leaders to drive adoption of modern applications and cloud native products on Google Cloud Platform. You will work with customers on application re-design and implementation, including application scaling, reliability, and ongoing operations such as application and feature rollouts, monitoring, and more. - Collaborate with customer development leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful, modern cloud applications, serving as a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.
- Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud native application development solutions according to customer requirements and implementation best practices.
- Partner with internal specialists, product, and engineering teams to package approaches, best practices, and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
- Engage with business, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks and issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.
- Travel up to 30% of the time for client engagements as needed.
