What you'll do

As the Engineering Leader of the Planner Modeling Team, you will play a crucial role in redefining the Siri experience — your leadership will guide the development of the core model that drives the agent’s behavior, determining when and how to call tools on behalf of users. You will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional partners, ensuring alignment on strategic directives and leveraging simulator-driven evaluations to measure and improve model quality. Engaging in benchmarking state-of-the-art internal and external models will be a key responsibility, as you perform failure analyses to understand common failure patterns and gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and techniques.

You will work closely with teams building the agent’s toolbox, search capabilities, and partners in Response Generation and Internationalization — your role will require you to navigate complex technical discussions and drive collaborative efforts across these teams. Your insights will help shape the future of Siri, as you engage in high-level discussions about the direction of the technology and its applications.
